The exception message is telling you what the 'issue' is.

    er.v2.XMLDOMException: invalid character in name

What is there about 'invalid character in name' you don't understand?

What is the directory path? If the directory path ahs spaces such as C:/Program Files it could cause the type of error indicated. Do not include spaces in directory path.
