What´s the risks if a SC/Battery is not replaced quickly on a T2000?

Dear Oracle Members,
Actually we have a battery problem on a T2000 about of a battery.
SC/BAT/V_BAT | WARNING | 0.54 | -- | 2.25 | -- | -- |
I understood about the procedure to do the replacement also about if not it not changed could have problems about the time hour into the system.
But, is that exist any risk into the hardware if the damaged part is not replaced until 2 or 3 months on the future.
