All,

We are using MySQL Enterprise Monitor which at the time came along with MySQL server 5.7.19. I would like to upgrade the server version to 5.7.21. What is the best way to do this?

First use Enterprise Backup to generate a backup copy of all your data.

    Download the 5.7.21 Enterprise software.

    Follow the software upgrade instructions.

Do not hesitate to call MySQL Support at any step along the way for clarification or questions.

    Hello Dave,

Thanks for the response. I need to clarify something though. When you say download 5.7.21 Enterprise software do you mean MySQL Server Enterprise Edition or MySQL Enterprise Monitor? If it is the Enterprise Monitor software then is it also not possible to just upgrade the MySQL Server version following the usual upgrade procedure?

    Thanks
