Oracle database 12.2 installation crash on Windows 10

Hi,

I have a computer under Windows 10.

There is allready Oracle 12.1.0.2 (winx64_12102_database) installed on this computer with a database.

There was also an Oracle 12.2 32 bits client. I removed it after the first installation fail on Oracle 12.2.0.1.

I try to install Oracle 12.2.0.1 (winx64_12201_database) by lauching the setup.exe with the following options :

- Software only

- Mono-instance

- Enterprise edition

- Existing windows user

- Directories unmodified

The installer crash (the window disappear without message) at 83% oh the prerequisites verification.

I tried by launching the setup as administrator and without firewall and antivirus and i have the same issue.

I tried on an other computer with the same OS and Oracle installation (except the Oracle 12.2 32 bits client) and it works.

Can you help me ?

When you start Weblogic, do you see any error message? If so what is the error message?

Did you run the RCU utility to create the schemes on the new database?

Although this article applies to Oracle, the steps should be the same for SQL Server I believe.
