Hello,

We have installed Siebel IP 2017 on Oracle Linux 6.8 and Oracle 12c DB. The installation and configuration steps are completed without any errors. However now when we are logging into Callcenter and try to create records we are getting error messages.

ObjMgrBusCompLog Error 1 0000000538bd46a2:0 2018-05-17 12:13:07 (oracon.cpp (4172)) SBL-DBC-00111: An error has occurred writing to a record.

Thank you.

John A

    Hello JohnA,

Your issue is described in Bug 26437209 : APPLYING 16.14 USING WE8MSWIN1252 CHARACTER SET CAUSES CORRUPTION OF NEXT_SUFFIX

    1.    Go to My Oracle Support under “Patches & Updates”

    2.    Under Patch Name or Number enter= 26573198

    3.    Select the correct Platform or Language by drilling down on the Patch Name.

    4.    Click “Go” and download all parts of the patch.

    5.    For the Read me file, click on “View Readme” for full documentation.

    Best regards.
