Web.xml always created even if I don't have any !

Weblogic hot deploy under beadep directory keeps generating me a dummy web.xml. I have a project without a xml descriptor that I want to deploy under weblogic (spring boot) without any success.

I'm using Eclipse Oxygen, any idea ?

When a Dynamic Web Project is created the option to automatically create the web.xml file is provided. If not selected, the eclipse doesn't create it web.xml.

hmm not sure I'm following you .. my projet doesn't contain any web.xml .. it's rather when I hot deploy it to a weblogic server in eclipse that the temporary beadep directory contains this web.xml. It's not when I create the project. ..

The temporary web.xml could be empty and included as an optional configuration file.
