3706268Jul 20 2018 — edited Nov 28 2018

Hi,

I followed the document

https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?_afrLoop=533661695776400&parent=WIDGET_RECENTLY_VIEWED&sourceId=1…

to set up OWB agent on weblogic. I have been able to successfully deploy the application as well.

But when i use this application with weblogic as the server type , test connect throws an NPE

@mt-in-ny please specify the apex version.

mt

@jsatwik - sorry - V 22.1.0

it is now default functionality in PopUp LOV. you can search for it through your browser search engine like google etc. like oracle apex popup lov multiple columns and hope you will find tons of How To's.
here is only one from google search results:
How to show multiple columns with Popup Lov and return multiple value into Page Items in Oracle Apex (0 Bytes)
Additional Column Display in Default Popup LOV || Apex 21.1 || xFactor (0 Bytes)
not only you can show multiple columns, you can return multiple values too.
hope i didn't misunderstood your requirement.

I know how to show multiple columns. My question is: Does the DISPLAY COLUMN need to be one of the columns?
When I omit the DISPLAY COLUMN from the "multiple columns", the LOV locks up

Satwik

@mt-in-ny yes, LOV does require the display & return values, both are required fields.
Use Additional columns selection to display multiple columns in LOV.

mt

@USER_FUZKR thank you , but you are still not quite understanding.
I know that the display and return columns are required.
I'm asking: Does the Display column have to be one of the "multiple columns"
I'll just try again with other tables and figure it out

Answer

OK - i figured this out, In the IG for the additional columns, go to single row view, edit, and I can set the DISPLAY COLUMN to not be visible. Meaning, it will be visible as the return display, but not one of the columns in the look up grid.
