In Apex 18.1 htp.p is doubled?

Given: Oracle Apex v.18.1.

Function: my.test return varchar2 is begin htp.p(“Print once!”); return null; end;

Type Region: simple report/interactive report with a query: SELECT my.test FROM DUAL;

The region is drawn like this: Print once! Print once!

The error repeats with all reports that have a call:  htp.p

A question: why at me in Apex 18.1 htp.p is doubled?

Cannot reproduce. Please demonstrate the problem with a live example on apex.oracle.com.

A question: Why would you use htp.p in a report? That is not how reports generate HTML.
