How to change format style on xml code (JSFF, JSP)

Hi,
I'm trying to change xml code formatin the following file extensions:
- jsff
- jsp
- dcx
to look like this
<af:inputText id="it7" value="#{viewScope.printerRecordBean.currentRecord.printerStation}" styleClass="input-text input-text--form" label="printerStation"/>
instead of all attributes being in line and change line when hits the limit o chars applied.
Is it possible?
How?
Thanks

Navigate to:
Tools->Preferences->File Types->Default Editors
and find if a suitable formatting option is provided.

Hi @dvohra21
Thank you for your reply.
I did as you said but that only allows me to chose what tab I want to be open by default when entering that file extension, not the code formatting style

As jsff (or xml) files are handled as source, you can only change the formatting via hte code format options in JDev. I'm not sure you can archive your design this way, but you can try.

Thanks Timo
I will try

What formatting does the code editor apply?
Right-click in the editor and select Reformat from the menu to have JDeveloper restructure code.
or
Reformat code by clicking the Reformat icon in the code editor toolbar.
-
Reformat will put all attributes in the same line until it reaches the limit of chars configured.
If there are more attributes it will break the line in the number of lines necessary to have all attributes
-
Is a large number of files involved and/or the files have a lot of code? If a few files with a few lines of code are used the formatting may be added as needed without requiring any tools.
-
There are a lot of files and they all have a lot of code and we will add more files to it, reformatting by hand is not the best approach in this case
-
Select Tools>Preferences>Code Editor>Code Templates and set the af:inputText template with indents added. Refer screenshot enclosed..

Hi dvohra
Sorry for responding just now.
I will try it, lets hope that the reformat over the code won't redo that style.
Thanks
