Why do my form buttons not show up?

When I add a new page and make it a form, apex creates the form for me. I was just wondering why when I run the app, the delete and save button don't show up? Thx!

I'm just guessing here, but when you run this form in  new record mode - you can only see Cancel and Create button.

I mean - you cannot Delete or Save a record that does not exist yet.

When you run the same form and actually fetch a record, then you will see additional buttons - Delete and Save.

As form is data bound, you can do additional DML commands.

This is driven by component conditions.

Typically for these type of buttons, it's based on the item holding the primary key value, eg: P15_ID

If it's null, it's a new record, otherwise you're opening an existing one. Therefore, no point showing DELETE button when creating a record.
