Changes in RTF not reflecting in the output preview

Dear Experts,
Good day,
I am new to BI Publisher and using version 12.0. and MS Word 2016.
I have done some minor changes in the existing RTF by adjusting fields at header section to accommodate space for additional information.
After that I have loaded the xml data successfully.
When I click Preview -> Adobe File, the changes are not reflecting.
Did I missed out any steps?
