is it possible incremental rman restoration from 12.1.0 to 19c

Hi All,

I have restored live database rman backup (not pluggable)12.1.0 to 19c (19.3) using DBupgrade for version migration testing and its working fine. now im planning to take incriment backup from 12.1.0 (from current SCN on 19c) for restoring and filling data changes in 19c test DB.

my questions are,

is it possible ?

if possible, do i need to go though DB upgrade again after incrimental backup restoration ?

Hi

I think it would not work because your 19c database is already open (I assume was opened with open resetlogs)
