Applet - "Playing with Balls"

Hello
I am looking for a java applet or otherwise example where the applet is full of balls. And when I move the mouse pointer, the balls around it move away from it.
Any idea on how can I achieve this?
Thank You
Deepak
Attached is a sample java file which solves this problem, but in a cumbersome way. Need a more elegant design as in the attached document "WhatIWant"
