Hello

I installed the Oracle SQL Developer the first time and entered the password wrong and now the account is locked (ORA-28000). How do I unlock the account?

I tried several methods from Youtube with the command prompt but it didnt found the commands for example sqlplus wasnt found. I even tried to reinstall it but this didnt work.

SQL Developer doesn't have accounts - the Database has USERs.

An administrator or the database, will need to login with their account and ALTER the USER that has been locked.

Who built/owns this database? Not you? Find your DBA.

You? Login as SYS or SYSTEM and right click on the USER in your connection tree, Edit.

    Uncheck 'Account is Locked'

    Click 'Apply'

While you're there - you probably want to change the password as well.
