sql developer 20.4.1 - unable to edit text in grid

I guess it never worked for me in this release, I have noticed it recently.

When I select a table, switch to the data tab, there is a grid view.

This grid view let you edit, commit. When I try to edit date or number things are as expected, but selecting a text does not allow for any edit except value is null.

Any idea what maybe wrong with my setup?

I have downgraded to 20.2 and it works as expected.

Nuked all version specific configs in AppData/Roaming, reinstalled 20.4 and it works as expected.

Not sure what was the bugger.
