Remove Authentication Scheme?

Is it possible to remove a scheme from the authentication schemes?

I have taken over an application in which there is a scheme that can no longer be used, because it reports login data to the LDAP server in unencrypted form.

I have developed a new authentication scheme with SSL encryption and would like to delete the old one so that it cannot be activated accidentally.

When you have change new authentication scheme to current one for application, go edit old one and there should be delete button.
