Explain the features of VDO?

VDO stands for Virtual Data Optimizer. It's a Linux device-mapper driver that provides innate storage capabilities to underlying block devices like deduplication, Compression and thin-provisioning. There's only a few elements to VDO: kernel drivers and some user-space tools. VDO optimizes the data footprint on block devices by reducing disk space usage on block devices, And minimizing the replication of data, Saving disk space and even increasing data throughput. VDO includes two kernel modules: kvdo module " Transparently control data compression, Uds module " Handles data deduplication.
