Oracle Forms Reports 12c Greek Font

Hi,

When we print a report to PDF from Oracle Reports 12c it does not show Greek Characters.

When using web.show_document (.../reports/rwservlet/getjobid....) with destype=SCREEN and desformat=PDF

We have made changes to uifont.ali for [ PDF:Subset ].

We also noticed if we make changes to uifont.ali there doesn't seem to be any changes to the report.

We are using Fusion Middleware Control 12c, WLS_REPORTS Version 12.2.1.4.0 On Windows Server 2016

We have EL8MSWIN1253 Database and UTF8 Database and the problem is in both.

Hi,

You have

"Arial".....           = "courbi.ttf"

you should replace that with

"Arial".....           = "arial.ttf"

Also at the end of the file add:

*="arial.ttf"

Then copy the uifont.ali file to C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\tools\common

Restart WLS_REPORTS and the reports server and try again.

Hi,

PDF Subsetting is not enabled. Are you using in process or standalone reports server? What is the location of the uifont.ali that you modified? Also, can you upload the uifont.ali file?

The file I am using is in C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\user_projects\domains\base_domain\config\fmwconfig\components\ReportsToolsComponent\reptools1\guicommon\tk\admin

uifont.log

I have renamed it to log as it won't let me send it as .ali.

It is a forms and reports deployment in fusion middleware.

You are a genius, thanks a lot. this worked for me.

I was reading all the forums for the past few months and no luck.

I had it as "Arial".....           = "courbi.ttf" because I suspected it was not using the uifont.ali file.

Copying it to the directory was the missing piece.
