Is there some reason why every time you create a thread you include this Windows information even when you are working on a Unix/Linux platform? This information is not the same as what you will find on Unix/Linux. So saying "I am installing this..." then sharing Windows information makes your post confusing.

This is from the Windows Form Builder and is not helpful information when you are trying to install on Unix/Linux

Regarding your issue, there are numerous things that might cause such a problem. Here are a few:

    • Another process is using the inventory (e.g. another instance of the Installer may be running and/or orphaned)
    • You are running the Installer from a remote machine (as you implied in your other thread) and the net performance between the two machines is very poor
    • The installation has actually failed but is not able to properly report the failure and terminate (check the logs).
