Connecting Sql Server

What are the steps for connecting Sql Server from Oracle 19c. Can anyone refer me to the steps or some usefull links. i need to write the data from Oracle to Sql server and also should be able to read the data from Sql server.

There are numerous step-by-step instructions on the net - just google. In any case you'd need ODBC driver (comes with windows, there are free and not free ODBC drivers for non-windows OS) or Oracle Gateway (costly).

Also, review your design/business logic and see if you can switch source and target. If you can, install OLE DB provider for Oracle od SQL Server side , create linked server to Oracle database on SQL Server side and push/pull data from/to Oracle.

Thanks Solomon, our intention is to write data from oracle to sql server and then read the data from sql server table to oracle . Basically two way communication to be established , can it be done using Linked server or oracle gateway .Which one do you recoment. i am getting error while configuering oracle gateway as ORA-28545 while trying to select data from sql server.

Are you using Oracle Gateway (licensed expensive product) or built-in HS connectivity? In terms of linked server vs HS/Oracle Gateway it all depends on your business needs - can process be initiated from Oracle only by pulling SQL Server data or same can be initiated from SQL Server by pushing data to Oracle.

i am using the HS Connectivity. i think it has a limitation.

Then you need to install Linux ODBC driver for SQL Server.
