Changed TNSNames.ora - VSCode doesn't connect anymore

Hey guys,

we've moved one of our databases to a RAC setup. Even after updating my TNSNAMES.ora nor using the provided one from our DBAs I can't connect to the migrated database anymore.

Is there any Log / Logfile I can send to the dbas to check why the connection isn't possible? SQLPlus, allaroundautomations PLSQL developer and my .net core applications can connect to the new database using TNSNAMES.ora.

It's just VSCode - having issues.

If you are saying that ODP.NET Core can connect with the same TNSNAMES.ORA than the problem may be pretty simple, since ODT for VS Code uses ODP.NET Core for connectivity.

If you haven't tried it yet, please try connecting with ODP.NET Core.

If a simple ODP.NET Core app works, but ODT VS Code does not, please check config file path in the connect dialog and the wallet path. Verify if you are using LDAP or not. Check for TNS_ADMIN environment variables too.

Finally let me know the error you are getting.
