Open Region after Button submit

Dear Community,

I'm trying to to the following page: First some Textfields, then a button and after that a classic report. What i want to do is take the user input from the textfield and populate the classic report with an sql query that is based on the user input and started when the button is pressed. How can i realize this? It would also be great if the report isn't visiblie until the button was pressed.

This is a possible solution (on emp/dept sample schema):

1. Create page item P1_ENAME and a button with action "Submit Page"

2. Create a classic report with source

SELECT * FROM emp WHERE INSTR(ename,:P1_ENAME) > 0

Add a server side condition to the classic report of item is not null with item P1_ENAME
