How to hide a report

Hi Expert,

In apex page i have a report and a button which will download the report.Now i want to keep the button for download the report but i don't want to show the report in UI.

How i can achieve this functionality.

Hi,

Just put style="display:none" in Custom Attributes of the report.

Just put style="display:none" in Custom Attributes of the report.

The problem with this is performance: although the report is not visible, APEX is still rendering the region. Hence when the download is requested, the report has been executed twice.

I'd suggest a different approach:

• Create a classic report region on a new page.
• In the report attributes, change its Template Type to Predefined and the Template to CSV.
• Create a "Download" redirect button on the original page, setting the target to be the new CSV report page.
