how to assign select result to apex page items

hi,

I am new to apex and wondering how will i assign query results to page text items, actually i wan to select a value from select list item on the page, and based on that item i want to execute a query which will return single row having 3-4 column and assign these columns to the respective page items, pls help how i do this.

INTO is in PL/SQL not SQL so just remove them and try.

Hello IK,

Create an action Set Value with type SQL Statement and write the following code :

select COLUMN1,
       COLUMN2,
       COLUMN3,
       COLUMN4
FROM TABLE_NAME
where COLUMN1 = :P5_SELECT_LIST

Which :P5_SELECT_LIST is your select list item. Set Items to Submit to your select list Item and Affected Elements > Item(s) is your items that will get the columns value, which first affect item P5_ITEM1 will get the COLUMN1 value and so on.

I did the changes you have told but i am getting error when the page runs and later when i select an item from the select list.

Error: parsererror - SyntaxError: Unexpected token { in JSON at position 836
