Is there a way to set an autorun script when connecting?

I'd like to be able to run a script on every new connection to setup things. Currently the only thing I'd run is:
alter session set nls_date_format = 'yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi:ss';

Not yet, but this is a top requested feature, so it will hopefully be coming soon!

Obviously, you could create a login trigger, but I am not sure if that is sufficient.

I'd rather have that client-side so it is applied to any DB I connect to. I wouldn't really need it if I could set client NLS settings.

I'd love something like this, too. Or at least the option to specify the default date format in the extension's preferences, and have it apply to all connections.
