How to calculate agent uptime for an OMA?

I want to create a metric extension that shows the "uptime" for an Oracle management agent. I see that there is an "Up Since" number showing on the Agent Availability page in the console (All Metrics>Response Time). How can I access that information (or the information needed to calculate the "uptime" for an agent)?
