Looking for guidance with integrating new Apex app with Google Earth

Hello,

I'm currently buiding a new apex (v 22.1) that i need to invoke Google Earth to display a location.I have the latitude/longitude stored in my db.I'd like to have a link in my app that when clicked could plot the location in google earth. I have found plenty of examples of calling google maps but i'm interested in google earth. The native apex maps work great for plotting locations but google earth provides other cool tools like the historical view of the site.

I'd appreciate any guidance that you can provide.
