Suggestion required for saved the data of REST API response

I have the below requirements.
1) Download the inventory transactions data in json format.
2) Save the data in intermediate tables.(master/detail)
3) Push the data to Oracle EBS from intermediate tables using API.
I need community members suggestion on point 1, currently I have created one table in which json data is saved as clob column and from this column I have created a view using JOSN_TABLE.
From view I am fetching the data and then I am saving the data it in intermediate table. Is this the good approach?
I need to pick data based on business date means if one day transaction is picked then it should not picked again else data will be duplicated in view.

why not just simply use SQL or PL/SQL and have the results included in the response of your GET or POST request?
What does a staging table get you?

Staging table contains the other information also which is not required in oracle EBS and also I want to use staging table for reconciliation between module and software from which I am pulling the data.
