Is there any reason APEX_MAIL.SEND is not sending on apex.oaracle.com since a couple of days ?

I'm experimenting on a small workspace on apex.oracle.com, and since a couple of days I'm unable to send any mail using the APEX_MAIL package. Is there any change in version 22.1, or limitation sending emails ?

This simple plsql block does not send (it was working one week ago)...

begin

apex_mail.send(p_from => '<my email address>',

          p_to  => '<my email address>',

          p_replyto => '<my email address>',

          p_subj => 'This is the subject of my mail',

          p_body => 'test',

          p_body_html => 'HTML test');

end;

Many thanks for your help.

    Have you looked at the e-mail log to se if there is an issue?

    Run these from APEX SQL Workshop:

    SELECT * from APEX_MAIL_LOG ORDER BY LAST_UPDATED_ON DESC;

    The next one will normally be empty, unless just prior to a queue purge (every 15 min?) or an error happened, then it will be retried 10X before finally being purged:

    SELECT * from APEX_MAIL_QUEUE ORDER BY LAST_UPDATED_ON DESC;

    Thank you!

    Indeed the first query provides the list of last emails sent.

    The second (queue) list the last attempt, with the error "ORA-29279: SMTP permanent error: 535 Authorization failed: Body From address <my email address> not authorized"

    Any idea why my address is not authorized anymore ? Anything to configure ?

    Many thanks

  • Yes, this is a known issue due to a recent change (not within our control) but we're trying to get it fixed. Just remember that apex.oracle.com is intended to be only used as an evaluation of APEX and not for full development or production use. Please consider getting your own OCI always-free account where you can use APEX without these limitations.
