While retrieving the query from oracle database it was giving connection reset error

While retrieving the query from oracle database it was giving connection reset error the process which has been scheduled in crontab. some times process went success and mostly it was failing

could you please provide your thoughts so we can apply on our environment to resolve

the issue.

    Please provide more details about Your environment: Java version, JDBC version, operating system and database version.

    Causes:

    Connection reset, the database connection drop-off can be influenced by the network.

    Resolving the problem:

    The network administrator can check the following:

     - Check whether there is a load balancer or gateway that can cause the connection to drop.

     - Run a trace route command from the application server to the database server to check whether any hop is coming from a load balance.

     - Check the network statistics with the netstat -rn command for a gateway that is present under the VLAN or network.


    You could have also reached the maximum number of connections to the database.
