Dear All I remember around 24 years back we used to use developer 6i with oracle 10g. please suggest now which front-end tool by oracle is best for oracle 19c DB to teach students at the undergraduate level.
Oracle has many application development tools and also has many people with an opinion. To answer your question you really need to have a more specific question. It would be easy to say product A is the newest, so learn it but that wouldn’t exactly be a fair approach in my opinion. It might be ok if you’re open to learning any language, but if you have a particular language in mind the answer may differ. To comment specifically to your statement, Developer, now referred to as “Forms and Reports” (latest version 12.2.1.4) remains one of the most widely used app development tools using PLSQL. APEX is a very close second. But if what you’re after is a different language then other tools might be better for you. In addition to those mentioned, Oracle has tools for Java, JavaScript/HTML, and others. All are actively used and have very different use-cases. All the technologies mentioned can work with Oracle’s latest DB versions.
