How to default a date in the ui when adding row in a table

Hi,

On adding a new row to the table, i need to default the Start Date in the UI to a date that is conditionally derived.

Any suggestions on how to do this would be appreciated

Thanks

Anil

User, tell us your exact JDev version, please!

    What is the condition?

Is the date dependent on other data in the same row?

Or is it dependent on some other data from the UI?

The answer will influence the possible solutions.

    Hi Timo,

Jdev version is 12c and the date should be defaulted by checking the last transaction date in the db and then default the next date. If there are no transactions in db the sysdate needs to be defaulted.

There date has no dependency on any other element in the UI.

    Thanks

And what is the last/next transaction date?

How do you access this date?
