SQL Developer 22.2.1 crashes on opening on macOS

Hello everyone! I'm asking for your help, because unfortunately I just can't use Oracle SQL Developer on my Mac (details of the system will be on the picture, and yes, I downloaded basic x64 DMG installer of Oracle SQL Developer here and updated java to 17th version and it didn't help). I attach here my crash report and I hope for your help, guys!

SQLDev isn't crashing, Java is.
No need to download/install Java - we ship our own Java Home inside your app.
You can see that in your stack dump
Users/USER/SQLDeveloper.app/Contents/Resources/sqldeveloper/sqldeveloper/bin/../../jdk/bin/java
The best I can figure is that High Sierra is starting to get pretty old, as far as Mac OS goes?

Wow. I didn't expect so fast answer from your side, thank you for your feedback! So what should I do in this case to fix my problem? :(

I've got 3 ideas:
- Upgrade your mac to a newer OS - PAINFUL
- Download an older copy of SQL Developer and see if the Java 17 download you previously installed fares better (try this one - https://www.oracle.com/tools/downloads/sqldev-downloads-2143.html)
- We can try to force your App do use a different Java, but that will take more work, so let's try option #2 first
