Dynamic Action "OnChange" on an autocomplete Text Item does not work

Hi All, I can't do a Dynamic Action, OnCHANGE on an autocomplete Item. It just doesn't work. Is it normal? Or I am not choosing the right Action?
All I need is to refresh a report based on the selected value in the autocomplete LOV (basically use that Item as Filrter).
I am using Apex 19.2
PS: User prefers "Autocomplete" and not a regular Select List.
