Need some solution over Synonyms

Hi All,

I have created two synonym public and private synonym with same name as "EMP_SYN" and both have status "valid". Now I want to get data from public synonym.Bcoz whenever I select EMP_SYN it is giving the result from the private synonym... is there any way to get data from public synonym. please help.
