ORA-12504: TNS:listener was not given the SERVICE_NAME in CONNECT_DATA

    Thank you.

    Yes it was because of the value for Path in Environment variables. We have a Oracle 9i client installed and then we have installed Oracle XE server. Hence Oracle XE has put its path (C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\bin) before Oracle9i client's path (C:\OraHome_1\bin). So the DB IDE could not recognize the proper Oracle client. I have interchanged the order as below and it is working fine with out any issues.

    C:\OraHome_1\bin;C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\bin

    Hi Ming Man,

    at my server side so it does not work but I comment at the ODP.NET client side and it works now.

    How did you comment at the ODP.NET client side ? Please explain.
