Sql * plus command for DataPump

hai every one,

I have a problem with exporting and importing tables..I am using pl/sql developer to export and import tables..
now because of some reasons Admin unstalled from my system...So i have to back to the sqlplus command lines*..

I haven't got -create directory privilage from the Admin..So can u specify basic import and export command and its explanations...

    Actually i mean for datapump ...ie..expdp...not export...
    any way i don't know both of thease command...(actually i having very breif idea about sql*plus commands)

    i just tried with the link what u just pointed out ...but it is not working...

    please specify me to just one table to export...just a simple command (i haven't any create directory privillage) ...

    Hi again!

    The problem is that if you havn't a directory to export to then you can't export. But to answer your question a simple export with expdp looks like this:

    expdp DIRECTOR=data_pump_dir DUMPFILE=mydump.dmp TABLES=hr.employees

    I guess you meant to write DIRECTORY, right? ;)

    And you should have also mentioned that both, expdp and impdp respectively, are not SQL*PLUS commands but independent tools. They are invoked from the OS prompt / command line.
