Remote agent

I am getting a Timeout when trying to kick off a OLT remote agent. The controller is in my local network and the remote agent is in a remote data centre. The reason for the timeout is that the remote agent is trying to communicate back to the controller using the controllers hostname (e.g. machine:1099), which, of course, is not resolvable in the remote network. Does anyone know if there is a setting where I can tell OLT that it needs to send an external IP address instead of the local machine hostname? There are some settings in the oracle.properteis.default file but has anyone any experience with this?

Try to modify the host file with the appropriate name and IP address.

hi,
I am facing same problem.... can u please tell how to resolve this issue? -
If you have a CSI number, I would suggest that you open up a service request for Oracle Application Testing Suite for Web Application regarding this issue. By default communication is performed in response to the originating call and so the 'hosts' file located in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc should have an entry for the remote server(which is the originating server).
