Hi Chris,
Finally getting some time to install and play around with the module. I'm now past the issues with installing Node on a corporate network too . Once installed getting a connection and making a call was pretty straightforward.
I can't seem to access the dbms_output anywhere though. I've created my usual test anonymous PL/SQL block and run them but it doesn't come back in the result set. Is this still a feature needing implemented? I couldn't find anything on dbms_output in the documentation.
Cheers,
Stuart.

Hi Stuart. You need to call into PL/SQL to enable, create & fetch DBMS_OUTPUT. I blogged some sample code at:
https://blogs.oracle.com/opal/entry/using_dbms_output_with_node
I'll look at adding this to the documentation so it is easy for other people to find.

Thanks, I got the pipelined query working but Method one is failing with "ORA-01460: unimplemented or unreasonable conversion requested."
From this stackoverflow question it looks like we might be missing a patch but my access to Oracle support seems to have expired. I've raised a call on our end to sort that out! I'll use the pipelined query for now anyway.
Cheers,Stuart.

I was using 12.1.0.2. The DBMS_OUTPUT buffer size was increased at some point (11.2?) Anyway, I prefer the second solution too.
Node-oracledb 1.1 is out and the doc now has the DBMS_OUTPUT section. Thanks for prompting me to write it.
