FXML Pane Transformation

Hello,

Apologies if this information is around already, I am new to these forums and find them very overwhelming at the moment. As well as being new to the forums I have only just picked up JavaFX and was just throwing together a quick prototype when I noticed my tabbed pane does not scale with the scene after it's resized. Please note that my tabbed pane is nested in a horizontal pane which does resize accordingly. How can I get my tabbed pane to scale with it's parent?

Is this something that can be done in FXML with an attribute?
