missing JVM

thearchitectMar 30 2018 — edited Apr 5 2018

Hello everyone!

I came to the situation where I was trying to install an architectural software that needed a Java Virtual Machine on Mac OS High Sierra and apparently is missing/not working on the latest Java when freshly installed...at least is not compatible with this OS (from 2017).

Anyone has a hint on how could I solve the situation? Is a better JAVA compatible with the latest OS coming up soon? I tried to install an older Java but didn't work (same problem with missing VM). Any help? I'd be very thankful.

The software is from 2016 and on other Mac from 2011 with earlier OS worked fine.

I read there were some issues with OS but I'm hoping a solution is coming soon.

Thanks in advance and Cheers!
