ora-12560: tns:protocol adapter error

4209507Mar 11 2020 — edited Mar 13 2020

Hello, This is my first time on here and first time working with oracle database. So my problem is that after i installed 18c XE and check the service on my computer there is no OracleServiceORCL. So its like i lost connection to the server completely, i used to have 11c and i manually uninstalled it for the 18 which i followed online and end up deleting the server in service on my computer. How do i get that back so i do not have this error.

Thank you for any replay

This really has nothing to do with SQL Developer (the subject of this forum). It is a much better fit in SQL & PL/SQL.
And just as a side comment, storing 'age' as data is a flawed design. The 'age' of everyone and every thing is increasing by the day, if not by the second. What is your plan to keep 'age' current? Better to store 'date of birth' and the calculate 'age' when needed at run-time.

Sometimes the age stops increasing.

Pour me one!
Of course, that's not actually the age, but the amount of time it was 'aged' in the barrel before bottling.
