Productivity tips and tools for developers who use ADF and JDev

I'm quite new to ADF and JDeveloper (12.2.1.4).
I've used IDEs like Visual Studio, IntelliJ IDEA, Ecliplse and Netbeans. But by far, JDeveloper is the heaviest, most time consuming and least developer friendly IDE I've ever used.
Are there any productivity tips and tools for developers who use ADF and JDev. When running applications, debugging and deploying in local developer environments.
