Refresh calling page of a NON-MODAL dialog

Using APEX 20.1, I have a main page with a few report regions. In one of these regions I have a link to a NON-MODAL dialog to collect some data.. After closing this dialog I want to close the dialog and refresh the calling page.

I have tried the normal method for refresh after closing a MODAL dialog, but that is not working. Does anyone have an idea I can try?

Thanks!

You can create Dynamic action in parent window. Give it any name

    Event : Dialog Closed

Selection Type: Region /* you can specify the caller button or region. in case you are calling same window from different buttons you can use same DA and create it on region level

you have to make sure the caller scope included in DA scope*/

In true action create a refresh action and select the region you want to refresh.

Only if dialog is a MODAL, this is a NON-MODAL dialog..
