Delete a large amount of data on Partition

Hi

I'm trying to delete a high number of records from a partition table for that I'm using the following command.

DELETE FROM tab PARTITION (P_082020);

The problem is that it takes too long.

Can you help me to find the best way to delete records from a table with millions of records without having to recreate it?

Why not:

ALTER TABLE TAB TRUNCATE PARTITION P_082020 UPDATE INDEXES;

I dont have the privileges to truncate the partition

Then either get it, find someone who has or wait for delete to complete and make sure there is enough undo.
