Enterprise Manager/Grid Control Upgrade to 11g

Hello,

I have 10.2.0.5 grid control (with oms & db on same box). Planning to upgrade this to 11g.

Can we install new infrastructure on the same host with new DB and then just redirect the agents
are currently pointing to 10g grid control infrastrucure to 11g infrastructure?

Basically I would say: yes, you can...

But creating a new repository for OEM/GC means that you will loose all historical data of your current OMS/GC.
And you need to reconfigure all agents, too. It would be better to upgrade your agents to the 11g release as well
instead of using your current agents of release 10g...
