Excuse me, I may understand wrong with instant client, It's not *.msb files
where did yo use sqlplus?
type sqlplusPlease show:
1. Oracle Home
$ echo $ORACLE_HOME
2. where sqlplus
$ type sqlplus
3 . use call it
That error probably means that the instant client shared library was not found.
In addition to the questions Surachart Opun has asked:
- If you have locate installed, what is the output of "locate -r /sqlplus\$"
- What is in your instant client directory?

He or she has an Oracle client shared library in his or her library path, else sqlplus would not start at all.
Odds are that it is the wrong Oracle client shared library...
