                Hello,
I arrived on this thread by trying to install Oracle Portal 11.1.1.2 from scratch.
My environment is just for evaluating, so it is a vm with 6GB of RAM on 64b architecture.

                I've installed so far:

                OS: OEL5.6 - 64b
                DB: 11.1.0.7 -64b
AS: Weblogic - [10.3.5 from JAR, as this is available for 64b|http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/weblogic/downloads/wls-main-097127.html]
                OID - [11.1.1.2|http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/downloads/oid-11g-161194.html]

so until now everything went pretty smooth.

Further according to the install guide for portal , I needed to install SSO.

So I continued to install the mrcu(metadata repository ) which went fine

                MRCU: [10.1.4.3.1|http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/downloads/fmw-11-download-092893.html]

Further I for SSO and DAS I've started to install following document:1069426.1

                SSO+DAS : 10.1.4.1

Installing this I've get next error

Output generated from configuration assistant "OC4J Instance Configuration Assistant":

ok, so finally after many try-fail situations, I managed to install Portal11.1.1.2-3 on linux64b machin on oel5.6. I've put in place a small step by step instruction, not too detailed but may be usefull for someone.

                  1.install DB - 11.1.10.6 64b
                  2.patch DB to 11.1.1.0.7 64b
3.install weblogic generic (from JAR) - 10.3.3 !!! don't install the last version, because it will result in an error later (portal 11.1.1.2-3 is certified on this version of weblogic)
                  4.install rcu - 11.1.1.2 - don't try to find the 64b version, you won't find any.
                  5. instal IDM 11.1.1.2 64b
6.install mrca 10.1.4.3.1 32b- run under 32b ( I'll detail later how to do this),at the end return back to 64b mode
                  7. install DAS SSO -10.1.4.3
7b. install patch according to the documentation during step 7
                  8.install portal 11.1.1.2
                  9.upgrade portal to 11.1.1.3

How to install on 64b operating system, a 32b version f software
1.change the bash by runing linux32 bash
                  2. move /usr/bin/gcc =>/usr/bin/gcc.save
                  3.create a new /usr/bin/gcc containing th following line */usr/bin/gcc.save -m32*

may be it looks simple now, but it took me countless hours to figure how to do it. to do this I've started with 2 documents:
                  - *"Installation Guide for Oracle Portal, Forms, Reports and Discoverer" - E10421-05*
                  - How-to-Install-SSO-With-Oracle-Fusion-Middle-Ware-11g - ID 1069426.1
