MDS dialog when trying to deploy

    582375
      Hi,

I'm trying to permanently deploy my JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0 application (which has MDS enabled, as per http://biemond.blogspot.com/2009/07/customize-and-personalize-your-jsf.html), to the IntegratedWebLogicServer. After creating the new deployment profile, when I try to run it I get a new 'MDS' dialog appearing and I don't know what values to use.

The dialog contains the fields Repository Name, Repository Type, Partition Name and Path/JNDI Info. Here's a screenshot:
      http://i934.photobucket.com/albums/ad187/japher/mds_fields.png

The Repository Name combo box is empty.

If I just right-click on a jspx and choose Run or Debug, the app runs without problems. However, when I try to run the deployment profile to deploy permanently, this dialog appears (and I cannot continue). Am I missing something with my MDS configuration? Can anyone advise on what values need to go in here?

      Cheers!

I don't know if this is related, if if this is just normal behaviour, but when I run my deployment profile I have noticed that the deployment log shows this message:
[10:37:56 AM] Warning: MAR archive 'metadata1.mar' did not have any metadata content, not added to EAR.

If I leave this dialog blank and continue to deploy, I get the following error why trying to load a page:
            Error 500--Internal Server Error

Solved my problem by following this post:
Re: How to install Enterprise Manager to JDeveloper integrated Weblogic domain

I skipped the RCU (since I want a file repository, not a database repository), installed the ADR and added the Enterprise Manager app to my WebLogic domain. Next I created a new file repository and this repository was then visible in the MDS dialog in JDeveloper.

                Hi Japher,

I did not understand how you created the New File Repository? It would be of gr8 help if you can explain it to me as soon as possible??
