What version are you running?
Did you try to enable string load option? Under v220.127.116.11 (and assuming previous versions) if you enable string load FDM will output an error file (.err) file, which is your standard essbase kickout file. The kickout file should be in your output directory.

Sorry I read your original post too quickly...
With the enable string load enabled a popup window with the kickouts will appear (from the web client), and in addition a error file will be outputted as well.
That was actually more of what I was looking for! the popup in the web client. Unfortunately I have moved on to a different project now, but I will keep this in mind if I need it in the future. Thanks
